Short answer: The lowest stated fees are 0% (IDFC FIRST Bank on select amounts, Navi’s Cash Loan per its blog, True Balance from 0%), then about 1.5% to 2% at Moneyview, Fibe, Freo, LazyPay and Zype. Some apps charge 10% to 20%. Fees are usually deducted from the loan, so you receive less.

Fee or rate: which matters more?
On a ₹50,000 loan for 12 months, a 4% fee costs ₹2,360 with GST, about the same as 4 percentage points of interest. On short loans the fee matters more; on long loans the rate matters more. The APR in the KFS combines both.

Before you apply
- Find the lender’s name in the app and check it on RBI’s list of digital lending apps or our RBI-registered NBFC search.
- Read the Key Fact Statement (KFS) before you accept. It must show the APR, every fee and the total you will repay.
- Never pay a fee before the loan is disbursed. Regulated lenders deduct fees from the loan or add them to the EMI.
- Apply to one or two lenders, not ten. Each application is a hard enquiry on your credit report.
- Check that the EMI fits your budget with our FOIR calculator.

Frequently asked questions
Is processing fee refundable?
Usually not. It is deducted at disbursal and kept even if you close the loan early.
Why is my disbursed amount lower than the loan?
Because the processing fee and GST are deducted upfront. Interest is still charged on the full loan amount.
