Fee or rate: which matters more?

On a ₹50,000 loan for 12 months, a 4% fee costs ₹2,360 with GST, about the same as 4 percentage points of interest. On short loans the fee matters more; on long loans the rate matters more. The APR in the KFS combines both.

Frequently asked questions

Is processing fee refundable?

Usually not. It is deducted at disbursal and kept even if you close the loan early.

Why is my disbursed amount lower than the loan?

Because the processing fee and GST are deducted upfront. Interest is still charged on the full loan amount.
